Receive a Federal Tax Credit for installing Southwall Technologies window film from Hüper Optik

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 provides federal tax credits for homeowners who make certain energy-efficient improvements to their homes. Anyone who has purchased qualifying window films manufactured by Southwall Technologies between Jan 1 and Dec 31, 2007 can receive a 2007 tax credit of up to 10% of the window film costs, up to a maximum of $500.

How to receive your Federal Tax Credit

• Complete IRS form 5695 (Residential Energy Credits), available for download at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f5695.pdf

• File your 2007 Income Tax Return by April 15, 2008. If you have any questions about your eligibility for this credit, please consult with your tax advisor.

• Retain a copy of your dealer invoice itemizing the window film purchase. Please note that only the cost of the film applies (not installation).

• Retain a copy of the appropriate Southwall manufacturer’s certification statement (listed under the Tax Credit Information section of this page).

Solar Heat Protection

Hüper Optik® ceramic films protect interior furnishings from fading by shielding them from 70% of the sun’s destructive heat and 99% of harmful ultraviolet rays.  By comparison, tints or reflective coatings block out natural light transmission, reduce visibility, detract from aesthetics, and do not provide safety and security at home.
